Homeless youth face bewildering obstacles, simulation shows—American Bar Association
Young people involved in the child welfare or juvenile justice system—including homeless youth—frequently travel through myriad public systems. Many of them have experienced high levels of trauma, violence, instability and loss, so the journey is rarely straightforward or pleasant. “Walk a Mile in Their Shoes: The Children’s Counsel Experiential Learning Module” is a program meant to increase understanding and awareness of this journey.
