Youth transitioning out of foster care face as much as 900% greater risk of experiencing homelessness, compared to the average American young person. Homelessness impacts young people in a number of negative ways – mental health disorders, risk of violence, lack of access to healthcare services. This study investigates why, and recommends investment opportunities that could help manage these risks.
